Helpful guide for newbies
I became interested in chess after watching The Queen's Gambit, but I have no idea how to play so I wanted to learn. This step by step guide was very well done and helpful. There is a section on decorum and expected behavior during a match. That is the nuances to the game that books sometimes forget to mention. But this book remembered and now I will npt look like a fool. I also thought the step by step directions with pictures was so helpful. All the e4 e5 king side stuff can get confusing, but this book includes pictures which ensures the reader follows along. Over All, I am very pleased with this book and think it is well done.
Time control
Learn some history of the game, them learn the minor and major pieces and the attack strategies. Chess is a game of strategy. Each move should be planned with the end result in mind. The knight and king pieces have jobs to do. Read this book and learn Winning strategies.
Too many edit errors.
Too many edit errors. It is hard to have faith in a technical book when there are technical errors all through it.
